PHILOSOPHY

I love capturing the afterglow and the delicate light that lingers after the sun goes passed the horizon. Waking up to cool wispy mornings while watching the clouds engulf towering peaks brings me peace. This feeling of tranquility is what I hope my photographs do for others; especially during this time of unknown. The meditative and artistic qualities I gained from growing up in the mountains have influenced my photography to become a therapeutic outlet for me.

Art lets me express myself when I can’t do it myself. It’s another way for me to get my ideas across when I can’t explain them or write them out. I can look back at the art I created like a time capsule of my brain, always moving forward honing in my photographic and artistic skills. I tend to find myself drawn to photographing dreamscapes. These created spaces are places I can escape to without having to go anywhere. I find myself reminded that you don’t have to go that far to get somewhere.

My work ethic is strong, reliable, and honest. So it’s important that I produce high quality work on time for my clients. I enjoy what I do, so putting in hours for a project is rewarding when the final product intrigues someone and makes them happy. Most of my art is all digital, whether through photography or graphic design. But sometimes I need a break, so I wire wrap pendents and wire trees in glowing wine bottles, and occasionally I renovate vans.

The world around us is changing quickly and I find myself working hard to keep up with it. I believe my work in the vastness of mediums I play with can reach a big audience of people who are working to understand the world around them, too.
